Hong Kong, 23 may 2023 – FWD General Insurance is excited to announce that it will be renamed and rebranded this year as bolttech Insurance. This move comes as bolttech, the international insurtech group, aims to align the business with its brand.

bolttech has owned and operated FWD General Insurance since late 2020. Following the rebrand on 23 may 2023, bolttech Insurance will continue to be the general insurance partner for FWD Life. Together, both companies will work to serve the evolving needs of general insurance customers in the Hong Kong market.

bolttech Insurance has a solid foundation for future growth as an established general insurance player in the market. The rebrand will add to bolttech’s existing presence as a leading insurtech with innovative device protection and embedded insurance offerings in Hong Kong. bolttech Insurance will complement bolttech’s brand presence with an established balance sheet business that has a deep understanding of insurance distribution, and insurance product design and innovation.

With the general insurance business becoming part of the bolttech brand, the company will look to maximise synergies of the group’s distribution network and technology capabilities to continue to meet more customer needs in the market.
